Colleen's Scalloped Potatoes & Chops
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 cups whole milk
- 6 large (3 lbs.) potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 large sweet onion, thinly sliced
- 4 (approx. 1-inch thick) Farmland® EXTRA-TENDER® Boneless Pork Loin - Center Cut for Chops
- 4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons garlic-herb seasoning blend
Preparation
- Heat oven to 350°F. To prepare white sauce, melt butter in small saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour until blended; slowly whisk in milk. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened; set aside.
- Meanwhile, arrange half the potatoes and half the onions in bottom of a greased 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Place chops on top of potatoes; top each chop with 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce. Sprinkle entire surface with 1 teaspoon garlic-herb seasoning.
- Pour half the prepared white sauce over chops and potatoes. Arrange remaining potatoes and onions over top; cover with remaining white sauce. Sprinkle surface with remaining 1 teaspoon garlic-herb seasoning.
- Bake at 350°F. for 1 hour 45 minutes until browned and potatoes are tender. Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
